About Me

Tahirah Yasin

Accredited London-based psychotherapist helping adults heal from complex trauma, PTSD, and the long-term effects of stress and abuse.

My work integrates CBT, trauma-informed approaches, and transpersonal therapy, helping clients move beyond survival towards clarity, confidence, and self-understanding.I’m passionate about making therapy inclusive, practical, and empowering - particularly for those who have felt unseen, misunderstood, or caught between cultures. Whether you’re navigating burnout, family dynamics, or questions of identity, I provide a safe, empathetic space to explore who you are and take meaningful steps forward.

How I work

How I Work

My approach is real, relational, and empowering. I work in an integrative and relational way.I go beyond traditional talk therapy to help clients make sense of their experiences and take meaningful action in their lives. I draw on several therapeutic appraoches rather than just one. Together we find your style, pace, and focus on what feels right for you.  Using trauma-informed methods, and transpersonal approaches, I help you understand your emotions, recognise patterns, and build self-awareness and resilience. I believe the realtionship itself is what heals, when trust and safety grow, change become possible.

Therapy isn’t easy and it’s not supposed to be.

Lived Experience & Cultural Awareness

My work has always centred on people living through profound experiences whether in conflict zones or in the quiet aftermath of trauma. Over the past 18 years, I’ve worked in different organisations from supporting refugees, survivors of violence, and communities rebuilding after crisis.

Those years showed me how resilience and pain can coexist and they shaped the kind of therapist I’ve become.

My Mission

My mission is to make therapy accessible, affirming, and relevant for those who have felt unseen or misunderstood. I believe therapy should be a space where you can explore who you are — culturally, emotionally, and spiritually — and where healing is not just about surviving, but thriving.

A bit more about me.

I’m Tahirah Yasin a late-diagnosed, proudly nerdy British Pakistani Muslim, dyslexic, and lifelong learner (and yes, a collector of courses and degrees!).

My work blends therapy, neurodiversity, and cultural understanding to create spaces where people feel seen, supported, and empowered to thrive exactly as they are.
