Cognitive Behaviour Therapy

Mindfulness Techniques

Explores the relationship between our thoughts, feelings and behaviour. Supports us to understand what experiences may trigger unhelpful thinking patterns that led to big emotions. Focuses on developing helpful thinking patterns and challenges to vicious behaviour cycles

An approach that supports individuals to heal from traumatic experiences and reduce distress associated with these experiences. Using eye movement it facilitates a space for mental health recovery, with less focus on talking through events in detail.

A useful strategy to quiet the mind, and practice being present in the moment. Can be used to reduce rumination and obsessive thinking. Research has found its effectiveness in promoting positive mental well-being.

Assessment and Intervention for Psychological Wellbeing

I begin with a comprehensive psychological assessment to gain a clear understanding of your thoughts, emotions, and lived experiences. This helps identify the underlying causes of distress and forms the foundation for a personalised treatment plan aligned with your goals.

I use a range of evidence-based therapies, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

  • Integrative and trauma-informed approaches

All interventions are tailored to meet your unique needs.

  • CBT sessions typically last 50 minutes

  • EMDR sessions may run longer depending on individual requirements

 

Therapy is offered as a short- to medium-term process, focused on equipping you with practical tools for long-term wellbeing. Our goal is to support self-sufficiency and reduce reliance on therapy, while ensuring you're never without support when it's needed.
